Neptune Krill Oil (NKO®) 1000 mg by NOW® contains fractionated Antarctic krill oil with a specific lipid profile. Krill oil contains Omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids: DHA, EPA and phospholipids.  

Antarctic krill (Euphausia superba) - a 6 cm long marine crustacean. DHA molecule (docosahexaenoic acid is an important component of the tissues of the human brain, skin and retina. Phospholipids are lipid molecules containing combinations of fatty acids, glycerol, phosphoric acid residues and nitric base. EPA and DHA acids contribute to the proper functioning of the heart and help maintain normal triglyceride levels in the blood.
